We know that funding for knotweed control will not be available indefinitely. In many areas, knotweed has been treated for several years and now very few plants remain, and those that do are very small. For these reasons we need landowners with knotweed to take on the responsibility of controlling it themselves. We have been helping as much as possible since the summer of 2011 when we gave six workshops for landowners in different locations in Clallam and Jefferson Counties. Handouts and a presentation (29MB PDF) were given, including information about knotweed history, identification, impacts and control. We took equipment and supplies to different locations in the two counties, to be used by people who attended a workshop.
