More on Oral Health

We all have heard that we should brush and floss our teeth everyday.  According to the Surgeon General, daily brushing and flossing is still important. Now, there are even more reasons to keep our mouth healthy. The health of your mouth and teeth are important to your whole body's health!

It turns out that the germs that cause gum disease can end up in our blood vessels if we have severe uncontrolled gum infections. It is now thought that these germs in the blood stream may contribute to heart disease. These germs can also bring upon premature labor in pregnant women.

According to a previous report released by the Surgeon General, your teeth and mouth affect what goes on in your whole body.
