Planning To Travel Outside Of The United States?
Many diseases which are no longer present in our country may pose a risk to international travelers. Vaccinations depend on the specific area of travel, length of stay, and specific activities. Clallam County Health and Human Services can provide you with a Travel Consultation Packet. The packet provides specific vaccine recommendations and disease information for the country and area to which you are traveling. Plan your trip in advance. Travel immunization should be completed at least a month before you leave the country.
To receive a Travel Consultation Packet:
1. Complete a Travel Immunization Worksheet and return it to our office with check or money order for the fee. The Travel Immunization Worksheet must be completed and returned to our office with a check or money order for $50.00. Out of Clallam County residents must return the worksheet with a check or money order of $75.00. A Travel Consultation Packet will be mailed to you prior to any immunizations given. Walk in travel consultations will be charged $90.00. Travel immunizations will not be given without Travel Consultation Packet.
2. Tell us where you are going, your departure date, and length of your trip, your birth date and the nature of your trip.
3. Immunization recommendations will be mailed to you in 7 to 10 days.
4. You do not need to schedule an appointment to receive vaccinations – all travel immunizations are available at our regular walk-in clinics.
