Dungeness Landing County Park was transferred from the Port of Port Angeles to the County in 2001. This 5.6 acre beauty, with 13 acres of tideland, is sprawled along the outer Dungeness Bay. Six miles north out of Sequim, on Sequim-Dungeness Avenue, turn right on to Marine Drive. Oyster House Road veers to the right as you begin to see the water and you drop down to the water's edge.
With the Dungeness Lighthouse located across the bay; it makes for a picturesque setting to place your easel. A covered birding platform and high water boat launch are big draws to this pleasant Park on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Bald Eagles look over your shoulder as you search for new bird species to add to your life list. |
