The annual foreclosure sale in Clallam County is traditionally held the first Friday in December. The publication of this proceeding is now available. For more information on this subject, contact the Treasurer's Office. If you send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Clallam County Treasurer, P.O. Box 2129, Port Angeles, WA 98362, a list of the publication will be sent to you. These sales are open, oral auctions, starting at a minimum bid established by the taxes and costs due.
The Foreclosure Sale is scheduled for Friday, December 7, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room. The last day to accept payments to redeem a parcel from the sale will be Thursday, December 6, 2007 by close of business, 4:30 p.m. Only parties with a pecuniary interest in the parcel may redeem the parcel prior to the sale.
Bidders will need to register for the sale on Friday morning, December 7, 2007 between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. in the Treasurerīs Office, then proceed to the Commissionerīs Meeting Room. The information needed to register will be your name and how the deed should be made out. There was a policy change in 2003 that only cash and cashiers checks will be acceptable means of payment.
