Collection of Taxes
Authorized by RCW 84.56.020 with the following due dates:

  • First half or full amount of current year tax by April 30th
  • Second half is due by October 31st

Tax is calculated on the Assessed Value set by the County Assessor's office times the levy rate for your taxing district.

Interest and penalty calculations per RCW 84.56.020. Interest is 12% per annum or 1% per month until tax is satisfied on the balance of the tax due of the subject year. Penalty of 3% shall be assessed on the amount of tax deliquent for the current year tax on June 1st. An additional penalty of 8% shall be assessed on the total amount of tax delinquent on December 1st of the year in which the tax is due. To verify amount due, please call 360-417-2344.

    Refund Policy:  It is the policy of Clallam County to refund any amounts over $10.00  These refunds will be held for 15 business days until the original check and or payment has cleared the bank.
