INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEMBER OF
THE PLANNING COMMISION?

Members are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners for staggered terms of four (4) years each.  Each Commissioner's District, is represented by three Planning Commission members.  Existing members may reapply for subsequent terms.  Members must reside in the respective commissioner district, must be selected without respect to political affiliation, must not be paid officials nor employees of Clallam County, and must be selected in accordance with the Clallam County Charter, and the Clallam County Policy/Procedures on Boards and Committees, Policy #952.

Applications for upcoming district position openings are typically reviewed by the Board of County Commissioners in November and December.  Official appointments are made by December 31, with newly-appointed members beginning service at the first regular meeting held in January.
