 2009 Compliance Proceedings re remaining LAMIRD issues (Dryke LAMIRD, Lake Farm LAMIRD, Deer Park LAMIRD, Lairds Corner LAMIRD, Zoning Code text changes)

June 23, 2009 Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance 850.  On Tuesday, June 23, 2009, the Board of County Commissioners held a a public hearing on the proposed ordinance reflecting the comprehensive plan and zoning code amendments and zoning map amendments recommended by the Planning Commission.  Upon closing the public hearing, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the proposed Ordinance as Ordinance 850, which can be found at http://www.clallam.net/Board/html/code.htm .

May 20, 2009 Planning Commission meeting.  The Planning Commission held a meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at which time the Planning Commission reviewed the public hearing testimony received on the proposed compliance response taken to public hearing on May 6, 2009 (see below) and developed recommendations which it forwarded to the Board of Clallam County Commissioners in a Letter of Transmittal dated May 20, 2009.

May 6, 2009 Planning Commission Public Hearing.  The Clallam County Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed compliance response on Wednesday, May 6, 2009.   

SEPA determination.  Clallam County Department of Community Development, Planning Division, issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS), on April 8, 2009, under SEPA Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) and the Clallam County Environmental Policy Ordinance (Chapter 27.01 CCC) on the County's proposed compliance response to the Western Washington Growth Management Hearings Board (WWGMHB) Final Order and Decision (FDO) [Dry Creek Coalition and Futurewise, vs. Clallam County, WWGMHB No. 07-2-0018c], dated January 30, 2009, as follows:

April 15, 2009 Planning Commission meeting.  The Planning Commission called for a May 6 public hearing date on the proposed compliance response presented at the March 18, 2009 meeting. 

April 1, 2009 Planning Commission meeting .  The Planning Commission reviewed the proposed compliance response presented at the March 18, 2009 meeting,

March 18, 2009 Planning Commission meeting .  Staff presented analysis and compliance recommendations (.pdf, 0.5 Mb) in response to the Western Washington Growth Management Hearings Board (WWGMHB) recent Compliance Order (January 30, 2009).  See also:

March 4, 2009 Planning Commission meeting .  Staff provided a summary (.pdf, 1 Mb) of the Western Washington Growth Management Hearings Board (WWGMHB) recent Compliance Order (January 30, 2009) regarding continued non-compliance related to the logical outer boundary for four limited areas of more intensive rural development (LAMIRDs) for the Dryke/Sherbourne, Lairds Corner, Deer Park, and Lake Farm LAMIRDs.  Staff also addressed the WWGMHB finding of non-compliance related to Rural Neighborhood Commercial (RNC), Rural Limited Commercial (RLC) and Rural Center (CEN-Blyn) zoning district standards.
