Finalized (2008) Compliance Proceedings re LAMIRDs, Blyn, and Sequim UGA (S(R-1)) Zone.  These proceedings resulted in ordinance 835.  These proceedings resulted in Ordinance 835, which amended the outer boundaries for a number of County LAMIRDs, designated Blyn as a LAMIRD, and rezoned S(R-I) lands to S(R-II)

March 2010 Note about LAMIRDs on the maps:

  • The final boundaries for the County LAMIRDs (reflecting the amendments as they resulted from both the 2008 and 2009 GMA Compliance Proceedings outlined below) are reflected on the County´s interactive maps.  From the "Critical Areas and Parcels map", zoom into the area of interest, click the square "LAMIRDs" box under "Layers" in the bottom right of the screen, and click the "Refresh" button at the top of the "Layers". The LAMIRDs will show up on the map delineated in heavy red-dotted lines.
  • To determine the name of a particular LAMIRD, click the round "LAMIRDs" dot under "Layers," then click the "i" tool located about half down in the left column of the tool box in the top left of the screen, and then click the map within the boundaries of the LAMIRD of interest.  The information will appear below the map.
  • To read the text of the LAMIRD´s zoning designation, click the round "Zoning" dot under "Layers," Legend, then click the lightning tool located about half down in the right column of the tool box, and then click the map on the parcel of interest.  The information will appeal in a new pop-up window.
  • The text of all County zoning designations may also be accessed via the County´s Zoning page.

IMPORTANT NOTE, as a result of subsequent Findings of Non-compliance as to Ordinance 835 by the Growth Management Hearings Board, the County made further changes to the outer boundaries of the Dryke LAMIRD, Lake Farm LAMIRD, Deer Park LAMIRD, and Lairds Corner LAMIRD, as well as to the performance standards for CEN, RLC, and RNC zoning designations, during the 2009 GMA Compliance Proceedings.  The County´s interactive maps and Zoning page above reflect the final outer boundaries and text.
