Zoning Maps

The interactive maps provide the most complete method of obtaining zoning map information. Click the links below to open either of the interactive map layouts. Both contain zoning layers which link to the zoning summary when clicked.

Critical Area and Parcel Map
Note that zoning will become visible only when zoomed in closer than 1:125,000 scale  (1/2"=1 mi). The zoning layer and itīs labels will automatically become visible at that scale. Note that the labels for smaller zones may not show unless zoomed in close enough to fit a label inside the zone.

Jurisdictions and Boundaries Map
Note that on this map, the zoning layers will become visible only by checking the box next to each layer in the layer list (bottom right side of screen) The basic zoning layers are available only when zoomed in closer than 1:125,000 scale  (1/2"=1 mi). Note that the labels for smaller zones may not show unless zoomed in close enough to fit a label inside the zone.

The Old "Clickable" Zoning Map images are still available.

(Not automatically updated, but may be faster with a slow connection)

These are accessed from the following indexes:

Countywide Index Map (graphic)
East End Index Map (graphic)

Section Listing Index to Maps (text)

The above links will connect you to all of the on-line maps. The index maps are graphic image maps of the county. Click on a spot on one of the index maps to pop up a menu of available maps for that area. The section listing index is a list of all sections for which there are large scale maps. Click on a section in the list to pop up a menu of available maps for that section. (You'll have to find the section on the map once it comes up). Sections are listed in Range-Township-Section format, which matches the first 6 digits of a parcel number . (Section 15, Township 30N, Range 4 WWM is listed as "043015"). There is also a listing of available county-wide maps

The Zoning Maps show County Zoning Designations, overlaid on general base map information, including all named roads in the 911 addressing system (including Cities and Tribes), along with streams, sections, and major jursidictional boundaries. Hovering the cursor over a zone will display the zoning designation for that zone, clicking on that zone will bring up the zoning summary for that zone.  If you already know the zoning code of your area of interest, you can go straight to the zoning summaries without waiting for the maps to load. These map images are arranged on the 51 pages of the County Road Map Book, which cover the populated parts of the county.

Zoning Maps are large JPEG images, which allow the clickable links. To print all, or a portion of a map, you must open it in an image editing application which supports JPEG format. However, the clickable links will only function in your browser.
