Zoning

The Clallam County Zoning Code provides the primary mechanism for Land Use regulation in the unincorporated portions of the County. It implements the vision that our citizens have expressed through the Comprehensive Plan, and directs growth and development in orderly ways that maximize economic opportunity while preserve existing community values.

The DCD Long-Range Planning division is responsible for coordinating changes to zoning regulations, incorporating public involvement, the Planning Commission, and the Board of Clallam County Commissioners.

The DCD Permit Center is responsible for administering zoning regulations and processing zoning permits, such as Conditional Use Permits, and Zoning Variances, as well as ensuring that all development permits and land divisions are consistent with zoning regulations.
