The True Star program is a state certified chemical dependency program (certified 8/1/98) with several components serving juveniles through 18 years of age. We operate with certified program staff and Qualified Youth Chemical Dependency counselors.
The True Star program offers the following services:
Alcohol/Drug Assessments: We assess youth aged 12-17 for alcohol/drug problems and make recommendations based upon these findings.
CDDA Assessments and Treatment Placement: This program includes help with inpatient services and/or referral to Drug Court for one year of outpatient services.
Drug Court: The assessments are conducted through Juvenile Services. Drug Court youth are case managed through Juvenile Services by the Drug Court Case Manager/Liaison.
Detention Based Treatment: Program for youth incarcerated within the detention facility who show symptoms of having drug/alcohol problems.
Outpatient Treatment: Includes three phases of a recovery program with attendance of one to three days per week depending on the need of the youth. There will be anger management and life skills groups for youth in conjunction with a treatment plan if needed, as well as job referrals with available.
DUI Assessments: Assessments for youth who have been driving while under the influence will be available only to youth in the juvenile system, and will be referred by District or Juvenile ¥Court.
Mental Health Counseling: True Star offers Family and Individual Counseling for youth and their families.This treatment is done by a certified and quailfied Mental Health, Family & Marriage Counselor.
