Fee Increase for Certified Birth and Death Records

Effective July 26, 2003 the fee for a certified copy of Birth & Death Certificates will be $17.00

The Washington State Legislature approved passage of Substitute Senate Bill 5545 (SSB 5545), which increases fees for certified copies of vital records to $17.00 each effective July 26, 2003. There is still no fee for a certified copy when used in connection with a claim before the Veterans Administration.

Fees are distributed as follows:
