Fee Increase for Certified Birth and Death Records

Effective Spring 2006, the fee for a certified copy of Birth & Death Certificates will be $20.00

The Washington State Legislature approved passage of Substitute Senate Bill , which increases fees for certified copies of vital records to $20.00 each. There is still no fee for a certified copy when used in connection with a claim before the Veterans Administration.

Fees are distributed as follows:

Birth Certificate Issued	$10.00	$2.00	$8.00	$20.00
Death Certificate Issued	$10.00	$2.00	$8.00	$20.00
