Hazardous Waste

The Department of Ecology regulates hazardous waste management in Washington State. Clallam County Environmental Health provides assistance to homeowners, providing disposal options for household hazardous waste.  The City of Port Angeles’ Pollution Prevention Specialist can assist small businesses with disposal options for hazardous waste.  

Information on disposing of hazardous wastes and alternatives to hazardous products can be found below.  The household hazardous waste facility serving Clallam County is called the Moderate Risk Waste Facility and it is located at the Port Angeles Regional Transfer Station.
