Battery Disposal

Single-use Alkaline Batteries:  These batteries no longer contain harmful materials and can be placed in your normal trash.  It is still possible for batteries to start fires however if they are not disposed of properly.  Make sure they are placed in a non-metal container and their ends are not touching each other.

Rechargeable Batteries:  These batteries can be recycled at the Home Depot battery recycling kiosk located near their Customer Service Desk.

Auto Batteries:  These batteries can be taken to any Transfer Station during regular operating hours.
