GETTING READY
NEIGHBORHOOD PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION & TRAINING
What is the Clallam County Neighborhood Program?
Two training classes are available through Emergency Mangement. The Getting Ready training is a six hour course and the CERT Training (Community Emergency Response Team) is a twenty hour course. Courses are designed to be taught in your neighborhood with a trainer and materials we supply.
Created in 2004, the Clallam County Program is a neighborhood approach to community preparedness. The program is designed to teach the community and our neighborhoods the importance of being self sufficient in the event of a disaster.
Because of our geographic isolation, it is important to organize our neighborhoods into a small response team structure and teach our citizens how to be prepared for any disaster. By doing do, we indirectly strengthen our neighborhood resources and support the community.
Plan a training for your neighborhood now and become better prepared to survive in a disaster.
Contact Emergency Management to receive more information and to schedule an individual training session for your neighborhood.
