BECOME AN AMATEUR RADIO OPERATOR!!
Clallam County ARES meets on the first Tuesday evening of each month at 7 p.m. in the Emergency Operations Center (basement level of courthouse), 223 E 4th Street, Port Angeles, WA.
The next series of Technician classes (Level 1) or General (Level 2) will be September 13, 20, & 27, 2008. Hours on all classes are 0845-1700. On September 27th there will be a review in the morning. The exam will take place at 1 p.m. for all classes of amateur radio licenses.
There is no cost for the class which is presented by volunteers from Clallam County Amateur Radio Club. The students must purchase the "Ham Radio License Manual Level I" or the ARRL General Class License Manual at a cost of $24.95. The test session costs $14.00. Manuals are available from Tom Newcomb.
