The CDC has released a statement regarding the newer COVID-19 variant first identified by epidemiologists in South Africa: https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/s1126-B11-529-omicron.html Per Clallam County Health Officer, Dr. Berry, "At this point, the same methods that have worked for COVID in the past - namely getting vaccinated, wearing a mask, and keeping our indoor gatherings small - still work for this one."
